We have started back Professional Development Class last Wednesday 24^th of April. We shared new ideas and going over what we did last term. We did sequences of colours and objects. Then we did paintings by using a body part and to travel with that body part. Then we had a line across the room and we travelled with our painting to another person.

I have been working with Bede project for 3 days. The Dates were 15^th 22^nd, 29^th of April. It was at Dilston Grove we were looking at different props like tubes, boxes, sheets we were making a dance from the props in different groups. It was good. My best bit was the Boxes. I enjoyed doing the project it was good. I like to work with Bede again they are brilliant people to work with. I like to do the project again because I enjoyed it.

On Wednesday’s we did Professional Development Class in Brixton we looked at objects to make a dance from one of the objects. We also did group evaluation to talk about our strengths what we’re good at. We made this into a movement sequence and we also did a ‘trusting other people’ game, by supporting each other. I thought was interesting.

We also had Easter Holiday to relax and enjoy Easter Break. And then we will go back to Class after a break to start with new ideas.

I am now working on a new project that is a collaboration between Corali and Bede.  We are working on sculptures and dance by using and looking at objects like boxes, tubes and sheets and how we move by using these objects we also looked at photographs of sculptures – it was good and interesting workshop. I enjoyed it.

I have also been to Intoart meeting to talk about the project that we worked on  with Intoart at Tate Modern. We watched the film and then we had discussion about it and also we talked about how we can develop the project it was good I enjoyed it.

December 6^th – I am writing an Short update for the Corali Blog.

I have been working with Intoart project at Tate Modern for 4 days. The Dates were 18^th October, 1^st November, and 2nd November.

8^th November. On the first day we did a presentation to share with Intoart what we do in Corali. Two important words were Devise and Collaboration. Then Intoart did a talk about what they do, and then we did a workshop in the afternoon. We showed our films, No Longer there, Little Bird, At Last.

I have been doing a Course at Tate Modern for 4 days. The Dates were 16^th of November, 17^th November, 23^rd November, and 24th November. The Course was called Everything Moves, it was led by Susie Willson from the Clod Ensemble. It was good. We were looking at paintings and looking at colours and shapes and movements and working in groups.

On Wednesday’s we have Professional development Classes in Brixton. We have usually about 10 people who attend the Classes we normally start at 10:30 and finish at 1pm. On Tuesday 4^th of December 2012 the class did a Performance at Queen Elizabeth Hall Foyer. There were also our films to watch and the documentary, Jump, Turn, Speak! The group Performance was called, Thinking Along the Same Lines.

I have been to the Articulate Showcase at South Bank Centre on Wednesday 5^th of December 2012 it was good. There was discussion panel about Shape Arts and there were 2 workshops. We decorated a map of where we live in different Boroughs and there was information stand about what Advisory groups members are on.

25^TH Of September – Here is the update for Corali Blog.

I have done 4 Performances in different venues – The National Theatre, Pottersfield, Boundless Festival and Lambeth Country Fair. I enjoyed performing with Graham.

On Wednesday 11^th July  we did a Performance it was called Jump, Turn, Speak! and we worked with Bridget and Vix . I enjoyed doing the project and I enjoyed the performance.

On Thursday 16^th of August. I went to Finland with Andrew, Jacobus, Sarah and Graham it was part of a festival. We did 2 workshops and we did a performance of Little Bird and At Last and we did a talk and I took part in the talk with Andrew and Sarah. I shared a room with Sarah it was nice. We did a City tour of Turku.

On Wednesday 14th of March we had a visitor Jaya to do a workshop with us it was clowning.
It was good and it was fun. I enjoyed doing it. We did walking around the space using our voices we used different things like hula hoops, buckets we had to travel other side of the room using our body and we had to wear red noses for doing different activity like using an object feeling of it and work with it.

On Thursday 15th of March we had a choreographer Called Rosemary Butcher, she did a workshop with us. We had to do different journeys. We had to lie down and print our body and think about memories. We had to roll into our body’s and we had to connect and touching with another person. We had to use the floor and using parts of your body, we did this using the floor and standing up. Then we had to map a window and imagine it and then we danced to it using different levels and we had to write different journeys and we did drawings of a view from our window.

On Monday 26th and 27th of March we had Daniel to do workshops with us. We had to do different senses and we did listening doing warm up. We used different objects we had to look at the objects like technology things then we had to do improvisations and make a dance then we had to do it in different sections and we had to play with it and work with it using technology. And we improvised with technology.

On Every Wednesday’s we have regular classes we do looking at different kinds of music, walking to the beat and looking at different props we been looking at lighting we did about shadows by using Torches and we had to use eye contact for walking around the space we had to learn routines then we had to do our own dances with the props then we had to dance different kinds of music.

Every once month on a Tuesday afternoon. I come in to do volunteering in the office. I do answering the phone, Recycling, Photocopying, doing letters, addressing the envelopes , franking, doing Corali blog. Typing up minutes, making notes, recording out of Office message and making phone calls.

I feel happy and enjoyable and I feel excited. And I feel confident and I feel comfortable and I feel motivated.

I am looking forward to making more new dances and also making new choreographies and playing with new ideas.

I was with other People in a group there was 17 people doing it. We were in green screen and we had to walk in line altogether  then we did it as individuals. Then we had to go in separate lines and we had walk across the room and I had to do it in duet with 1 person on my side then with another person from other side of the room. Then we had walk Backwards to other side of the room. First we had to do it as individuals then we had to do it in pairs then we did it in 3s then we had walk in line altogether with your arms swinging.

On a Wednesday morning there are 14 people that attend the regular classes at Brixton Arts Space we do a warm up then we do a simple routine. Then we work with partners and develop ideas from the video we watched of Pina Bausch. After that we learned the moves altogether, then we split up in different groups to go over the moves ourselves, then we performed it in 2 lines.

On a Wednesday afternoon we have a student from Middlesex University to work with Corali, she’s called Becky and we do different things like warm up walking around the space, doing memory game and then we created a food personality and opposites routine! Then we split up and went over the routine and with different levels and made it bigger. I liked the hot chilli routine, that was good I enjoyed it.

On a Tuesday afternoon or sometimes Wednesday afternoon I come into the Corali Office to volunteer. I sometimes work with Andrea and also sometimes with Sarah. I do different things like doing letters, addressing envelopes, recycling, photocopying, the franking machine, phone calls and doing the Corali Blog, facebook page and typing meeting minutes. I also answer the phone and record the Out of Office message.

I am Starting the Compass Project at Sadler’s Wells. I will be working with choreographers and some of Corali Performers who will be in it. I will be doing Rehearsals and then performing on 23^rd of April 2012. I will be performing on Sadler’s wells main stage. I will be doing stage Rehearsals and Dress Rehearsal’s.
